Obasanjo Almost Killed Me As A UNILAG Student!!! —Tunde Bakare

Guess Obj didn't mention this in his book!
The founder of the Latter Rain Assembly, pastor Tunde Bakare has accused former President, Olusegun Obasanjo of killing students’ unionism in the country when he was the military Head of State in 1978.

Bakare, who was a running mate to Buhari in the last presidential election made the claim on Monday at the 2014 anniversary of the International Day of Students.

According to him, Obasanjo, as the then Head of State in 1978, used brute force to repress the students during the ‘Ali Must Go’ protest.
Some students were killed in the protest. One of them was Akintunde Ojo.

Now, okada riders enjoy free ride in Lagos

Less than two years into the implementation of the Lagos Road Traffic Law 2012, commercial motorcyclists (popularly known as okada riders) have returned to some of the roads the law prevents them from plying.

Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos-Badagry Expressway, Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Agege Motor Road, Lagos-Ikorodu Expressway, Iba-LASU Road and Isolo-Ikotun Road are among the routes okada riders have resumed their business uninterrupted.

When the law became fully operational about two years ago, the busy routes and other hundreds of inner city ones regained sanity, while motorcycle-related accidents reduced by over 50 per cent, according to statistics by the Lagos State Government.

But with the exception of the Third Mainland Bridge and a few other roads, especially on the Island, findings show that okadas, with their associated oddities, have returned to the expressways where they compete with other road users.

South African, Miss Rolene Strauss has won the 2014 Miss World Beauty Pageant

A 22 -years-old south African, Miss Rolene Strauss has won the 2014 Miss World Beauty Pageant which was held in the Excel London ICC Auditorium on Sunday.
Miss Rolene, the daughter of a doctor and a nurse is a fourth year medical student.
After being announced as the winner of the keenly contested pageant, Rolene whowore a high, blue and golden jeweled crown and pale pink, waved and smiled at the crowd.
She contested with other 122 beautiful competitors from all over the world.
Below is the list of top ten contestants at the event.
2. Hungary: Edina Kulcsár, a former finalist of the 2009 Miss Plastic Hungary beauty pageant. The contest featured contestants who had plastic surgery and aimed to promote the benefits of cosmetic procedures.

Stella never told me she was going for ‘tummy work’, I didn’t use her for sacrifice – Obasanjo

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has broken silence on how his late wife, Stella died.
Recall that the ex-First Lady died on 23 October, 2005, in a botched tummy tuck – elective liposuction – procedure in Spain.
The surgery was scheduled towards the commemoration of her 60th birthday.
However, the former Head of State disclosed that his late wife never told him he was going for ‘tummy work’.
Baba, as he’s fondly called made this shocking revelation in his controversial autobiography entitled ‘My Watch’, which was released on 8 December, 2014.
Obasanjo wrote thus, “After the internment, I decided to look into the circumstances of her death.
“I found that part of her 60th birthday anniversary, which was unknown to me, was her operation for her tummy and her shape.”

Ask your runaway lawmakers to return to Ekiti – Fayose tells APC

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has counseled the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State to bring back the party’s runaway lawmakers to the State.
He declared that “no individual, group or political party can hold the State to ransom”.
Reacting to the party’s condemnation of Governor Fayose’s presentation of the 2015 Budget to the House of Assembly today, Special Assistant to the governor on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka said, “it is shameful and wicked for the APC and its leaders to think that they can hold the entire people of Ekiti down just because they lost power.”
Olayinka, who warned the APC lawmakers of the consequences of losing their seats should they continue to abdicate their legislative duties, added that; “by the rule of the House of Assembly, each member must attend the House sittings for 168 days in a year.”

Chibok girls will never return intact because FG failed to act swiftly – Obasanjo

Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has advised Nigerians against hoping that the remaining 219 Chibok schoolgirls still being detained by Boko Haram insurgents since April 14 this year will ever return intact.
Obasanjo, who spoke in an interview with Radio France International monitored in Abuja, feared that it would take years to rescue the girls, owing to the failure of the federal government to act swiftly within 48 hours after the abduction took place.
The former president categorically stated that anyone who believes that the Chibok girls would be rescued without scratches “must be daydreaming,” stressing that, “We will never be able to get those girls together again. And the stories of those girls will go on for the next 30 years. Some of them will come out when they are adults or sent back when they are impregnated by their captors.”

Tambuwal should apply for protection–Police

The Force Headquarters has yet to restore any security details to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, over one week after it said he would be given police protection.

Instead, it said on Sunday that Tambuwal should apply for police details if he needed any.

Shortly after he emerged as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the 2015 elections in Sokoto State, the police said they would give Tambuwal and all other candidates protection.

However, the force headquarters clarified that it would do so not because it recognised Tambuwal as the Speaker but because of his emergence as a governorship candidate.

The Force Police Relations Officer, Mr. Emmanuel Ojukwu, had stated, “The police will do the needful in protecting Alhaji Tambuwal and all other contestants.”

Confusion over list of PDP candidates

THERE is confusion in the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party over the list of the winners of the party’s recently conducted primaries across the country.

While the outcome of the primaries have seen different aspirants claiming victory in the same election, others said there were no such exercises in their states

For example, a former National Chairman of the party, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, is claiming victory over the outcome of the primary in the Enugu North Senatorial District.

His claim was however contrary to the results submitted by the electoral panel led by Senator Anthony Manzo, which declared Chukwuka Utazi as the   candidate.

At the Manzo- supervised election, which was held at the Government Field, Nsukka, Utazi polled 324 votes, to beat Nwodo who scored four votes.   Dr. Martin Oke scored three votes.

But at another primary, Nwodo was pronounced the winner of the primary.

Tinubu-led APC cabal controls Buhari –PDP

The Peoples Democratic Party has accused the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen Muhammadu Buhari, of handing over the selection of his running mate to a cabal controlled by a former Lagos State Governor Asiwaju Tinubu.

It said in a statement on Sunday that by so doing, Buhari had already surrendered his powers and first official assignment of choosing a running mate to the cabal.

“In surrendering his prerogative of choosing his running mate, Buhari has confirmed that he is being appropriated and compromised to serve a personal and narrow group interest of a cabal on whose ticket he emerged as a presidential candidate,” the PDP said in the statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh.

i just a young girl barely 19yrs. My parents are not rich i came in to lagos from the village quite long ago when i was little. In stay with my aunty and her husband as their househelp. But he now broke it to me telling me that he want to marry, while i`m in love with him, but i never open up*datz where i fucked up... so now it downed on me that he wants to getting married that i told him that i love him, he feels very sorry about it and told me that i should have let him know, that all the while that he also loved me but didnt want to ruin our friendship so he just let it go, but its just that he is now committed to the girl he want to marry. I told him that why i never open up is that it is not good for a girl to make the first step.

 But  her is the big one, why i need your advice now is that, since we have been together we have not had sex, but now he want to marry, anytime i stay with him we must romance our selves and even to the extent of having sex but we don't, so advice me on what to do because i love this guy so much and am not sure i can let him settle with some one else..
