Van Vicker Diagnosed With Ebola Disease After Filming ‘Bendu Sudan Part 2′ In Liberia

Award winning heartthrob Ghanaian actor, Van Vicker who has a Liberian lineage has been diagnosed with the infamous Ebola virus. Van Vicker’s contact with the disease came as he defied his management’s advice to refrain from shooting the sequel to his highly acclaimed movie ‘Bendu Sudan’ in Monrovia last month.

World Health Organization (WHO) officials say they will have to quarantine the actor from his family and all of his entourage currently in Liberia until he is free of the disease. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has also banned the actor from returning to Ghana.
Ebola is a disease of humans and other primates caused by the ebola virus. Symptoms include fever, sore throat, muscle pains, headaches, diarrhea, and vomiting; along with decreased function of the liver and kidneys. The virus also leads to major internal and external bleeding which eventually leads to death. Ebola has received major attention in 2014 due to one of biggest outbreaks in Ebola’s history in Africa, where thousands have been diagnosed and hundreds have died.
“This is tragic” says Honourable Ms. Hanna Tetteh (minister for foreign affairs), “It’s sad to see such a person of his status be diagnosed with the ebola disease which has led to a ban of entry to his own country. We took this measure because it is our responsibility to protect the citizens of this nation. Our prayers and thoughts are with Van and his family” Hanna Tetteh concluded. We will keep the country and his fans around the world updated as soon as more news unfolds.
I just wish this is not true
