The Governing Council of the
University of Benin, Edo State, has announced the appointment of
Professor Osasere Orunwense as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the
university.
He is to succeed the out-going Vice Chancellor, Professor Godwin Oshodin, whose tenure is expected to expire on November 30.
Until his appointment, Professor Orunwense was the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the institution and a former administrator of the Ekehuan.
The professor of materials engineering was also a two-time Rector of the Institute of Management and Technology, Usen, in Ovia South-West Local Government of the state.
