This Man Hijacks Ambulance To Escape From Hospital

A man who claims that he was held in a hospital against his will, decided to hijack an ambulance in order to escape, police in Arizona said.
Goodyear Police said that a firefighter was sitting in the back of the vehicle when 40-year-old Michael Lopez of Avondale, stole it in order to escape from the hospital.

Luckily, he was able to jump out of the ambulance safely.
Lopez took off from West Valley Hospital, which is located at 13677 West McDowell Road, and ignored orders by police to stop.
The officers followed the vehicle to his house, where he was arrested.
Lopez was taken to the Fourth Avenue Jail in Phoenix, on charges of aggravated robbery of a transportation vehicle, felony flighting, not yielding to the police and disorderly conduct.
When asked why he ran away, Lopez told police that he thought he was being held against his will. The ambulance, which was not damaged, was returned to the Buckeye Valley Fire Department.
